Who Am I?

My name is Thomas Lotero born in Medellin, Colombia, raised in Houston, TX, and fell in love with Austin, TX after moving in 2019. Now I live in Cypress, TX and are lucky to be able to work in both Houston and Austin.

In 2017 I picked up a camera in hopes of taking better quality Instagram pictures after being convinced to pursue modeling. It didn’t take long for me to realize that modeling wasn’t my thing. However, I still really enjoyed the aesthetic and creative aspect of modeling, and decided I could learn to take my own pictures. I quickly took to ‘YouTube University’ where I taught myself how to navigate and use a DSLR camera. Along the way I fell in love with the craft that is photography and was pleasantly surprised by my potential.

Today after much trail and error, hundreds of thousands of hours of YouTube, and tons of shoots later. I can say with confidence that I’ve gathered the skills to pursue this passion full-time in which I find my purpuse. Project wise, I’ve worked with a number of amazing people and have been contracted by some reputable companies, but at the end of the day my main goal as a photographer is to genuinely encapsulate the small meaningful moments in life that allow us to momentarily relive the past when we look back at them in the future.
